School Pains Again

I am now in Grade 11, which is "a vital year in my life" (as my Dad would probably say). All of my marks which I will be receiving this year will be sent to the universities that I apply to. Last year I received Honors, and i thought that Gr.11 would be just as easy as Gr.10. Wow, I was really wrong. Not only did i get myself in the wrong mentallity, which made the first month a write off, but i also chose the hardest courses possible. My day starts off with a the highest level of Grade 11 math offered at my school, than Physics U, than English U, and to finish it off i have Chemistry U. Now isnt that just a great day? Not to mention i get homework in pretty much all the classes, so im doing school the whole day.

Now to top of this day of boringness, i have a below average Math teacher (I'm not going to say any names. As they like to say: "you know who you are"). Now shes a good person and what she teaches us in class i grasp. I do the homework, teach myself the concepts which should have been taught in class, and im off to some other hw from a different class. About once every 2 weeks we have Unit test, where about 1/2 of it is what she has taught us and the other half is what she hasn't. I think this is pretty stupid way to test the students. Wouldn't it be better to test students on what they have learnt from the unit?

But to make this even funnier, is the fact that when we get the results back from the test she will say "Its gotta be because we are not doing our homework".

This teacher just aggravates me completly. I can't stand the fact that I feel so comforable about my situation going into the test, and leaving it i feel like I missed out a whole unit. But the thing is that im not the only person who thinks this way.

I feel like screaming... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Hmmm, that actually felt better. You know, im sure some Ice Cream and a Hug would do the same thing...Later Days!!

mmm... vacation

A couple days ago my dad booked a vacation to cancun.... mmm vacation. Just thinking about it makes me all giddy. Yes i said giddy. So when you will be sitting at home, listening to your parents, nagging you to shovel the driveway, i gonna be sitting in the warm relaxing sun wondering if i should go swimming in the ocean, go get some more delicious mouth watering food from the buffet, or just lie down here on the warm, but not too warm, sand. Mmmmmmmmmm. But its not like im trying to rub it in or anything...

Wanna see the resort? Its one of the best ones availible, with its 6 star rating (and im not joking, its actually 6 stars...).

Mmmmmmmm....

Pepsi IPOD Promotion

Throughout the past couple of weeks i have been hooked on this new contest from Pepsi, which gives away free ipods every hour until december 25th 2004. Everytime you purchace a bottle of Pepsi you receive a code which is on the back of the label. You enter this code on the site and wait until the hour is up and they draw to pick a winner. I have entered it only once before today, where I entered it at an hour like 6 pm when im sure the majority would enter. But i have a new strategy, which is to save up all my codes and enter them at some odd hour like 2 am or 3 am. Today (or tomorrow if you want to be technical) is the day that i plan to demonstrate my master plan.

I have saved up 20 ipod labels from asking random people in the cafetorium (yeah i know its a stupid name, they mixed cafeteria with audetorium. Them creative teachers ;) ). I've also stooped down to the level of picking up people's littered pop bottles in the hallways (not in the garbage ) which has the lable still on it, but if i win an ipod we will see who's laughing than... muah hahaha!

I know it sounds odd to do all this but why not? I mean someone is giving something away for free, i guess i might as well take my chances and go for it. Well if you think what im doing is stupid, leave a comment, thats free too ;). Later days everyone!!

"The band"

If you dont know me, or you do just not too well, im in a band. We are okay, but need more practice. Im the drummer in the band with two of my good friends, Kevin (electric guitar) and Andrew (bass guitar).

We are currently contemplating what our band name should be. We have been through many names but none of them seem to fit us correctly or match us. We have changed names almost every week or we just go without a name. It started as "the antidote" or something like that, than went to "lip 67", through many other choices but the most recent "Omni". But it still doesnt seem to fit us perfectly and its too much like the television channel (Omni television). So if you read this and got any suggestions just leave em' under comments and we'll take a look at em. Later days!!

By the way we are now Under Develpment, tell me what you think....

First Complain Blog for Suneal

I know that everyone has gone through this feeling at least 4 times a week: "Holy crap, i have so much homework to do its not even funny" and than after we think that thought, we think: "Screw homework, im gonna go ________(fill in with whatever you like to do, i like "watch tv" ). Everything is alllll goooood until you get your marks back and realize you are doing horribly horrible. Now, today, im in the situation where all of those things have past and i am back at the beginning of the cycle thinking "Holy crap, i have so much homework to do its not even funny". But this time, i said to myself that im gonna try harder and do all my homework so i can increase my mark. But today i have so much homework that its not even funny. Even if i tried to do it all i am still tempted to say "Screw homework, im gonna go watch TV".

See, in this situation us students become lost in this cycle of not doing homework and doing homework and are just forced to do easiest thing possible. There are a few exceptions but other than that i beleive my theory is about 87.2% correct.

Now, im sitting here im my basement wondering whether i should continue writing or begin studying for my physics test. According to my theory i would just say screw studying but i am actually thinking about studying. Why you may ask? Well according to my observations, this theory is only 87.2% correct, therefore there is still that (wait, im doing the math.... damn, wheres the calculator?) 12.8% of error. The 12.8% is caused by us unrebelious people who are scared of being a hobo the rest of our lives because of the crappy mark we got in grade 11. Well, i dont want to be a hobo so, i guess im off to study for physics, later days!
